During dinner they had a funky and hip violinist named Peter Lee Johnson play his own string versions of their favorite top 40 and urban songs. After dinner, the party resumed in another room which was transformed into a club atmosphere high above the city with our own LED Uplighting package. There was a Chinese Lion Dance to honor the couple (we switched the lighting to red!) followed by a crazy night of dancing! The musical score for the night was fun, hip, and relaxed – which made for an endearing evening of love, laughter and merriment! For their ceremony, Lauren + Connor wanted it to feel ethereal and romantic. The cocktail hour was a hip mix of Capitol Hill-style Bar/Coffee Shop/Barber Shop sounds along with singer/songwriter style acoustics music, rock, pop and R&B. They had a great, well connected group of family and friends that loved to sing and dance, so the dance party was filled with fun dance songs (Michael Jackson, Madonna), Classic R&B/Soul (Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Al Green), Rock, Motown, and some Indie songs with a good beat (The Gossip).
